Founder & CEO

Shawn founded Receptor as a social enterprise and purpose-driven company with a commitment to create entertaining, impactful experiences and meaningful outcomes. Receptor is a reflection of his own ethos, grounded in the mission to entertain, immerse, inform, and activate. Shawn’s background spans finance, strategy, brand and franchise development, content creation, and distribution. Prior to founding Receptor, Shawn held a strategic role at MARVEL building worldwide partnerships with brands, such as SAMSUNG, GOOGLE, and AUDI. While in Marketing and Distribution at Walt Disney Studios he worked on 100+ theatrical film campaigns across brands, including DISNEY, PIXAR, MARVEL, DREAMWORKS, DISNEYNATURE, and TOUCHSTONE. Outside of Disney, Shawn has worked at technology startups, and consulted for clients that include Hallmark Channel, NBCUniversal, and CBS.

Shawn has been a co-instructor and guest lecturer at UCLA, Loyola Marymount, and OTIS for students of Marketing and Film. He holds a B.S. and MBA from the University of Florida. Go Gators!
